Students transitioning to secondary school must follow the enrolment process that applies to their individual circumstances.

Depending on whether your child currently attends a government or independent primary school,  different documentation and processes apply.
  1. To determine whether your child resides within the Brunswick Secondary College School Zone,  follow this link  –  Find My School.
  2. Please refer to the matrix below regarding enrolment paperwork, Proof or Residence documentation and processes required for different circumstances
  3. If you require further information, please visit the Department of Education’s useful website page – Moving from primary to secondary school: information for parents and carers.
If your child is currently enrolled in Grade 6 at a government primary school, all application documentation is issued and processed via their primary school’s Transition Coordinator. The primary school will distribute paperwork directly to Grade 6 students, and will advise parents/carers a date by which enrolment paperwork must be returned.
