Brunswick Secondary College students Xavier Cohen (Year 12), Madeleine Horner (Graduate 2021), Alwyn Long (Graduate 2021), and Vy Vu (Graduate 2021) received top honours this week for their outstanding VCE results in 2021.

Xavier Cohen received a Premier’s VCE Award for excellence in VCE VET Integrated Technologies, Madeleine Horner received an award for English, Alwyn Long received an award for Drama, and Vy Vu was recognised for her studies in English as an Additional Language (EAL). This puts them among the top VCE students in the state in 2021.

Just 298 of Victoria’s brightest students were recognised by this year’s Premier’s VCE Awards, which were formally awarded at a ceremony held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on July 20.  Unfortunately, Ally Long was unable to attend the event as she has relocated to Queensland to pursue her tertiary education. Timothy Roach (Teacher – Drama) accepted the award in her stead.

On behalf of the school community we warmly congratulate  Xavier, Maddie, Ally and  Vy.  Each of these students demonstrate commitment to learning and exemplary work practices, and consequently they have each earned this prestigious acknowledgement. They can all be rightly proud of their outstanding achievements.
