Music

The college has an extensive and vibrant instrumental music program.

All students in Years 7 to 12 can choose to learn a musical instrument and participate in one of the College bands. Voice ensembles and singing lessons are also offered. Students are encouraged to enrol in AMEB practical and theory examinations.

Instrumental music lessons are held on a rotating timetable so that students do not miss the same classes each week. Students are expected to catch up on work and homework missed due to instrumental music lessons.

Lessons and instrument hire are affordably priced. There are waiting lists for some instruments but Year 7 students who enrol at the college will have the opportunity to apply for the program. In 2008, the morning singing group has been expanded into a College Choir for interested students of all year levels.
