I enjoyed all the day trips, all the amazing places we stayed, and also learning about another culture. I was lucky enough to be able to extend the trip by staying with family members at the end. Junior ICT Technicians are students who have a strong interest and high level skills in uisng ICT( Information Communication Technology) including the College's 16 interactive whiteboards. The role of the Junior Technicians is to support and troubleshoot for teachers. Students are put on a roster so that there is always at least one Junior Technician on call. Students are selected through written application and interview. Parent consent is required. Junior Technicians need to catch up on any work missed when they are duty. Junior ICT Technicians are also given the opportunity to attend and sometimes deliver professional development for staff. In previous years, many more boys than girls took on this important student leadership role. in 2007, we were pleased to see an equal number of boys and girls and hope that this pattern continues in 2008. |
