2007 Rock Eisteddfod Performers

To be a part of Rocka you have to be somewhere between 110% and 500% committed to it. That means spending all your Sundays and your Thursday afternoons in there practising endlessly. A lot of people also came in on the holidays to paint all the sets. However, the work does pay off. I don’t think there’s a single person involved in Rocka who wouldn’t say our work more then paid off.

Actually being on stage was a strange experience. I know some people said they could hear the audience cheering but personally I couldn’t hear a thing. The entire performance is actually a bit of a blur now. After the performance I was on stage to accept awards. It was much better then the heats because I’m sure most of the people involved were fairly happy with the performance. No one in the crew thought we would win so that made our victory all the more sweet. I played the role of the Summer Queen.

Hannah, Year 10
