I got chosen to coach for the Year 7 Soccer team. The boys had big expectations of me but I soon eased into the role. On Sports Day I was nervous but also excited. I was thrilled my team got into the final which we won with an exciting goal with only two minutes to go. We all sang the Melbourne Victory chant at the end. Josh- Year 8
I was surprised and elated when I heard that I had won a Swannie Award. These awards are given to the best speaker from each grade in debating. At Brunswick we are given really fanatastic debating opportunities including workshops and competitions. Debating has helped me become more confident in speaking to large groups and with essays, presentations and my general approach to studying and thinking about issues. Holly, Year 10

The school library is spacious and well resourced. It is open before school. At lunchtimes, the library is a hive of activity with students reading, studying, using the computers or playing chess and other games. Due to the fundraising efforts of the 2007 SRC and the generous support of our parent community, students will now be able to enjoy an air conditioned library. Even though installation has occurred,we still need to raise funds during 2008 to meet fully the costs of this resource which has benefit for all members of our college community. We are very grateful to the families who have made a donation to the air conditioning fund, and welcome further donations.
