Congratulations to Year 10 student, JUDE ANGOVE, who was recently presented with the Australian Scout Medallion.

This award is one of the highest honours that a scout can earn and can only be achieved with significant commitment to the ideals and goals of scouting.  In receiving this honour, Jude has been recognised for his leadership and organisational skills, drive, determination and resilience, as well as his high level competency in practical scoutcraft.

Jude has now moved on to Venturers - the youth section  of Scouting Australia. In this section, participants continue to learn and extend their skills and complete awards that can contribute to VET courses. The Certificate II in Business and Certificate II in Outdoor Education (that can be completed through Scouting Australia) are recognised by VCAA as accredited VET (Vocational Education & Training) courses. So, while Jude pursues his extra-curricular interests, contributes to the community and extends his skills,  he is also earning educational recognition for his work!

Well done, Jude, on earning the coveted Australian Scout Medallion! We wish you well as you progress through Venturers.
